Since 2013, running operations, administration, procurement and project coordination across the Rumaila, Zubair and West Qurna oil fields — now in business development, between Basra and Dubai.

Complex operations rarely fail for lack of strategy. They fail in the details — the contracts, the people, the procurement, the paperwork.
Since 2013, Ahmed Saeed has worked at the end where it is actually decided — running administration, HR, procurement and project coordination for multinational contractors on Rumaila, Zubair and West Qurna, three of Iraq’s largest fields.
It is work measured by what does not happen: the delay that does not occur, the penalty that is not incurred, the crew that arrives on time with valid permits. He now works in business development, writes on legal technology, and studies alongside the job.
The result is a profile that sits across four domains which rarely meet in one person: business, operations, technology and law.
